Summer is the time of year when my responsibilities lessen a bit and Jared’s picks up ten-fold! One thing that must happen here at the school is the delivery of the mail! I am part of that team this summer, as well as working on some projects in the education office. I often think of the saying, “Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night stays these courageous couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds”.
It has been fun to do something different but it does keep us on our toes! We are constantly checking names, addresses, and dates, as to who wants mail forwarded or held during this summer break. And packages … well, that has a whole different set of rules. How thankful we are for our main Post Office here in Waukesha – they are so helpful!
And … in just a few weeks we will be assigning mailboxes to our new students! What joy!
