New Outreach Update

May 24, 2016 by James and Judy Burdett

Our four man evangelism team had a great reception from the Bari speaking people of the MM village. The attendance averaged about 20 people while the guys taught day and night to get through the 25 lesson covering creation to Christ. At the end when opportunity was given to the MM people to respond four men and two women gave clear testimonies of new found faith in Jesus Christ. Praise God. Right now this week, the same evangelism team is doing follow up and continued teaching in the Word of God. May these new believers be strengthened in their faith and grow in grace.

Thanks for praying for the man who was offended.  Though he first said that he would not be the first to take care of things, he did a week ago and they apologized and hugged and you could see they were back in fellowship so that was very encouraging to see.

Last week was a crazy week. Three of our mission brethren came to finish some much needed projects for us and our coworkers; plumbing, electrical and cement steps for the porch. Thank you so much Bill, Sean and Ray for all the work. Mattresses on the floor and many meals together. Love that close Christian fellowship.

For those of you who remember us sharing about Gena’s wife Rose we are happy to report that she does not need surgery after all (it was a possibility) and now through diet and medication she is slowly regaining her health. Thanks to all who prayed for her.

Currently we are down at our mission center taking a much needed break.
