New

August 11, 2012 by Joel and Andi

A New Language Helper

We were able to find a female language helper for me from our church.  I started with her this week and it is going really well.  She is a perfect match for me and will be able to hopefully guide me to the end of my French study.  This is a huge answer to prayer!

A New Roof

Our ROOF IS FINALLY UP!!!  This happened just in time as the following day it rained here the ENTIRE day (which is very unusual).  We are still waiting for the last of the screens to be put up (to hopefully solve our bug problem), but it is nice to not have water entering our house when it rains.

We were able to read books while it rained rather than mopping up water!

A New Kids Camp

Our church hosted a kids camp for the first time.  They had around 40 kids come and were able to share God’s word with them.  This is an exciting ministry that they hope to continue each year.

Joel accompanied one of the elders of our church out to the camp
The camp was for four days at the beach
The kids all had a BLAST and didn't want to come home
They also heard a clear gospel message
There were around 15 adults from our church there to help
Could you imagine having this job? Cooking for 50!
It was an amazing four days!

Some New Visitors

We officially have visitors coming for Christmas.  We couldn’t be more excited!

Only 116 Days until Grandma and Grandpa and later Aunt Becca Arrive...but who is counting!?!

Wow! Isn’t that just like our perfect God to meet your needs, first for a roof and then for rain. He is awesome. I’m glad for the camp and that it was a success. Praise God for all the children who heard His word and for the adult leaders who helped.

Noah and the flood. God waited knowing you would have a roof before bringing the “flood”. Praise the Lord for rain and a roof over your heads.
