Just In Time

September 16, 2012 by Joel and Andi

Katie’s Coming!

This month has been exhausting.  It is HOT, we have been battling sickness all month and we have been incredibly busy.  I feel like we were brought to the edge of a cliff and at times I was fearful we would fall off.  God definitely brought us to the edge, but then just in time he sent help our way.  Monday Katie boards a plane, and Tuesday she arrives.  She is coming here to help for the next 6 months.  We are so excited to have another set of hands around the house to help out and definitely feel like we are ready for the help.  She is also bringing a suitcase full of supplies, medicine and food that we are excited to receive.

Pray With Us….

  • On Monday for safe travel as she will be traveling to a foreign country all on her own
  • That her bags will arrive without any problems
  • For the adjustments she will face this month
  • That God would work in and through her over these next 6 months

Joel’s Trip

Joel’s trip down to Guinea went very smoothly and he was even able to make it home early.  He was hit with sickness upon his return, but was super glad for the opportunity he had to help this family transition to their new home.  He got lots of good pictures from his travels and I wanted to share some of them with you.

We just never know what we will find piled on top of cars here
or where people will be sitting
If it wasn't cows blocking the road,
Then it was monkeys
Yet it still was a beautiful drive

The family he dropped off has a lot of transition ahead of them
As they seek to bring God's truth to a people group who have never heard
God be their STRENGTH in the days and trials to come

Deu 33:27 “The eternal God is a [a]dwelling place,
And underneath are the everlasting arms;”
Thanks again for taking us w/ you on your journey of faith.

Grandma always says God is seldom early but always “just on time”. Yes he knows what we need even before we know we have a need and he does provide but we only see as he reveals and the rest is by faith. We had a lovely evening last night with the Klinks praying with Katie for the days ahead. I felt as though by huging her I was actully being able to hug each of you on Tuesday what a gift for us all.

Just as in Haiti, I can’t get over how clean everyone always looks and with none of the conveniences we have! And what beautiful children!!!
