Just Keep Swimming

  • Hours of recordings
  • Multiple moments of tears and frustrations
  • Some glorious moments of success
  • Listening to French, trying to speak French, sing in French, reading in French, writing in French, texting in French and yes even dreaming in French

I find myself singing the song from Finding Nemo…”Just keep swimming, Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming, swimming”, hoping that it will help me to keep pressing forward.

The Fun From Our Week

My parents wanted to get a full taste of our life and they have gotten exactly that.  They have experienced our car breaking down in Dakar.  They have experienced the hustle of unexpected guests.  They have experienced our ministry and church life.  They have experienced the confusion of not having a clue of what is going on around you.  They have experienced the joy of getting away and relaxing.  It has been amazing to share our life with them and to work alongside them for this short time.  These are moments we will all treasure.

Our week started (after the broken down car adventure) with a trip to the pool
This included water wars
And lots of other fun
During the week we lived life together
With a few extra new games
Our week ended with a trip to the beach
Our language helper
and Abe came to get away with us
It was a great time together
And the fun has only begun!
