Last Sunday Joel drove down with Ethan to a village about 10 hours away from where we live. He was there for a huge celebration – it was a celebration of the completion of the New Testament in the Budik language. It was a joy to celebrate with this church as they now have a printed copy of God’s word in their hands. It was a joy to celebrate with our missionaries all the work that God had done over their many faithful years of service. It was a joy to celebrate what God is going to continue to do in and through this church.

i enjoyed the pictures and the message it told a truly powerful message and it reminds us the power of the written & living word
God bless His Word.
What a blessing your blog is to me! I hope that the Lord will continue to let me be a part of this ministry of sharing His Word with those who are getting it for the first time. The fact that they were in utter darkness until the missionaries got there with God’s Word. May He continue to bless all of you who are getting the Gospel to the tribes. Love in Christ, Mary C. I think we often forget or don’t think about what a privilege it is to be able to read God’s word in our own language. I can only imagine the joy and celebration that was going on here when they finally had a copy of their own written in their own language. Praise God for all who worked so diligently to make this happen. May God bless them and you richly. Thanks so much for your blog and all the pivtures you include. They really help tell the story.
Dear Andi,
Thank you for sharing about Joel’s trip. Being raised in a Christian family, and being exposed to the Bible at a very early age, I cannot imagine what it would be like not to have a Bible in my own language. May God’s Word strengthen the Budik Church, and may the church be strengthened and grow mightily.
