A Special Journey

October 15, 2015 by Joel and Andi

There were many ways that this last trip was really special.  First special thing was that Joel had decided to take Ethan along on this trip – making it a special father-son adventure.  They camped together at the guesthouse grounds and spent hours in the car together.  Ethan was so excited about the trip and he did amazingly well through the travels.

It is great to involve our kids in ministry - Allowing them to see what we see and be part of what we are part of.

Another way this trip was special, was that our African parents came along.  It was their first time down to this part of Senegal and they enjoyed the ceremony so much.  They came back the next week and stood up in church to share what God has taught them through this trip.

Finally this trip was special because it was it was our first long trip in our new car.  We can’t tell you what a blessing our car has been to us – making so many things possible that were too complicated before.

Our car is such a blessing to us
We often find ourselves thanking God for this amazing car
It makes these long trips possible even with poor roads and flooding and also allows for comfort in the journey

How about a few more pictures…

[…] Finally, some great pictures of a celebration in Senegal. I don’t think the post says what the special ceremony was for, but it was actually for the completion of the New Testament in the Budik (or Ménik) language! Check out A Special Journey […]
