We had the privilege of hosting a church planting consultant on our field. He is a man who has helped a lot of our works and we always value his input when he comes. Our job was to help him get around to as many works as possible in the time frame he was here. It is also currently rainy season here which made travel interesting.
So what did our travel circuit look like for us? It was a 10 hour drive south with 2 days of meeting. A 10 hour drive west and north with 2 days of meetings. An 8 hour drive back home. A flight and 6 hour drive to Guinea followed by 2 days of meetings. All crammed into 11 days.
The meetings with each of these teams were such an encouragement to us. It was so good to sit there and hear the teams talk about where they were at and to consider what steps might be next. Some teams had been facing significant challenges and discouragements, some had high hopes for the coming year, but all of them could see God working and wanted to talk through the steps ahead. We are so thankful for each of these teams and what God is at work doing in and through them despite the challenges they are regularly in their lives and ministries.
