I never got a chance to tell you about the last trips we were able to take before things shut down. So here is a snap shot on those last few trips.
Joel took our first trip of the year to Liberia.
As the village is very remote
He had a great time with the team
And spent time discussing strategy as they move forward
They experienced all kinds of things Adventure was to be had all around
We love to opportunity to connect with these different places and all that God is at work doing
Our next trip was to Guinea. There we were visiting a team who were in the throws of language learning. They had one new team member who was just beginning and another family who were entering the last stage of our language program. The goal of this visit was to encourage them and help them stay on the right track. We didn’t take many pictures this trip but it was a great visit.
Next was the long drive to Guinea
There we spent most of our time connecting with those who were learning langauge
While we were there they had a problem with the well and so Joel worked with them on the problem
Our last trip was down to the southern part of Senegal. We visited 2 teams there who are just at the beginning of their work. It was good to visit and see their progress. These are families we worked with closely through their first years on the field as they learned French so it was a joy to reconnect with them.
We got to see the progress on one families house in the village
We spent a few days in the village with a family we haven’t visitedin a while.
I sat in on their sessions
And we visited arond the village together
It was fun to see how God is caring for them
We are thankful for each trip we were able to make and each family we got to visit. There are others we missed out on seeing since travel shut down. We are praying for each of them as this time has been challenging on our folks who live remotely and are even more isolated now with travel restrictions.
We are praying that they stay encouraged in the task God has laid before them
