There were many ways that this last trip was really special. First special thing was that Joel had decided to take Ethan along on this trip – making it a special father-son adventure. They camped together at the guesthouse grounds and spent hours in the car together. Ethan was so excited about the trip and he did amazingly well through the travels.
Another way this trip was special, was that our African parents came along. It was their first time down to this part of Senegal and they enjoyed the ceremony so much. They came back the next week and stood up in church to share what God has taught them through this trip.
Finally this trip was special because it was it was our first long trip in our new car. We can’t tell you what a blessing our car has been to us – making so many things possible that were too complicated before.
