Doctors, Hospitals??

October 22, 2012 by Joel Potter

My head ached from the meager one and a half hours of sleep that I got that Saturday night. That sleep came before an unexpected trip to the local emergency room that night. Without going into too much detail you should know that health care has been on our minds much during the last six weeks. Bethany was scheduled to have a mole removed from her back in mid August. What should have been a very routine surgical procedure, became anything but routine. Bethany and JoelShe ended up having to return to the doctor a total of three times to have pre-cancerous tissue removed and ended up with a difficult-to-heal wound on her back. Add to that negative reactions to medications, very restricted physical activity and a very painful wound on her back so that weekend’s ER trip  was just the proverbial “cherry on top!” And with these types of care came some unexpected expenses. Our budget is as tight as we can get it and we still find need. Would you pray for a return to stable health for Bethany and maybe even consider giving to help with this need? We don’t mean to pressure you, but simply to communicate our needs. As of Monday, the 22nd of October we’re so grateful that all of the stitches from her back have been removed. She’ll continue to see a dermatologist every six months.
