For almost the last year, there has been a project that refused to die.
A few members of our US Communications team spent three weeks in the Philippines last July and came back with bits and pieces of several stories. One of those stories was about a little girl named Isabela. Isabela’s Mum and Dad were tribal church planters amongst a people group in the southern Pacific islands of the Philippines and they trusted their lives into God’s hands as they pursued His purposes.
Isabela was very sick. But unlike here in the USA, she had no emergency room or urgent care medical services. She was on an island far from help and the only hope of survival she had was to be transported by plane. And by the way, a Pacific Typhoon was bearing down on their village’s location.
Against all visible odds Danny and Phillipa, her parents, prayed and sought God’s help and they called a good friend and missionary pilot to see if it might be possible for him to fly out and help save Isabela’s little life.
Here is her story…
