Elias is almost 10 months old and I thought it’s time for an update on our handsome boy!
GROWTH: He hasn’t been weighed in a while; all I know is that he’s a small baby! He was in the 4th percentile for both height and weight at his 6 month check-up, and looking at all the other babies around him, I doubt he’s caught up since then. He’s a lightweight 🙂
LIKES: Judah, balls, his pacifiers, moving, puppies, laughing, drooling, putting everything into his mouth, MAMA (he’s quite attached), pulling his own hair, being warm, pushing buttons, opening closet doors, baths, pooping while in the bath (N-A-S-T-Y), destroying towers that Judah built, screeching, the BOBA carrier, being outside, playing in the water, and eating rocks
DISLIKES: being strapped in a car seat, diaper changes, getting dressed, pureed vegetables, being left in the nursery, getting his fingernails cut, or anything else that requires him to sit still
EATING: I nurse him 4x a day and he eats a full meal with us 3x a day. Because we’re mostly doing baby-led weaning, meal times are fun and MESSY :). He LOVES to eat! Some of his favorites: peaches, watermelon, strawberries, blueberries, tomatoes, cheese, yogurt…
SLEEP: Our difficult sleeper has turned into a great napper! He takes two naps a day (9AM and 1 PM) and sleeps about two hours each time. In the midst of jet lag craziness, I decided to drop his last night feeding (dreamfeed around 10PM). Talk about not-so-smart decisions! But hey, in a way it worked out great because it just added to the crying and no sleeping without really making a big difference (I think). So now he goes to bed at 7:30PM and wakes up around 7AM. He still fusses sometimes at night, but usually falls back asleep without us.
NEWEST SKILLS: standing by himself for 30 seconds or so, walking with a walker, dancing, and saying “Ma” when he is desperate to get to me 🙂
Can’t imagine life without our Baby Li-Li!!!
