Today we had the privilege of surprising the graduating class at New Tribes Bible Institute in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Jon also had his first steps on a prosthetic leg this last week. See the video.
We leave Monday for Mayo and Jon gets fitted for the C-leg. So excited!! We'd also like to tell you about where we've been, how we're doing and how you can pray.
On the farm there is never a dull moment. But as we work, we both are antsy to "hurry up" to get back to Papua New Guinea to help our co-workers, having seen the great need for personnel on the field.
Jon flew the helicopter today!!!! The first time in over a year. Can't keep him out of the air! We are just so thankful to everyone who is still faithfully praying for us. Please continue to pray!
This week Jon's stitches were removed, his PICC line out and he's off antibiotics. Now we have five weeks off from all doctor appointments. Jon ordered his robotic leg and will begin training on it in mid May.

Honestly you guys, we are exhausted after the traveling, surgery and just recovering from everything! So if you could, please pray for us, for renewed strength to be able to start this next phase of this long road that would be appreciated.
Jon's second surgery at Mayo Clinic is done! The doctor said he can be up walking on Monday with a prosthetic and crutches! Yes Monday! Praise God!!
Jon's surgery lasted about two hours. Dr Shives said they had to remove about 50% of his thigh tissue and some of the end of the bone. On Wednesday they will take him back into surgery.
