Update for the Second Week of October 2016
Everyone seems to be talking about who they support or who they don’t support. This week I would like to talk about a group of people that are running, but not for an office. They are busy supporting our efforts so that we can keep teaching and translating the Bible. A couple of examples are David Abbott and Stephen Narwold who both work in our Florida office. Posting my weekly updates and prayer requests on the NTM.org web page wouldn’t be possible if not for the behind the scenes work the computer communications department does.
And of course there are our pilots. This past week our pilot, Zach, flew in with Brian, our Mindanao pilot, and Tim and Kay Hughes. Tim and Kay work behind the scenes in our aviation program to help equip pilots with the skills they need and, yes, helicopters too. The helicopter you see in the picture will soon need to be replaced and Tim and many others are working to make that happen.
Heidi and I are thankful for all the various ministries people do to help keep us here. We are also very thankful for all you who support and pray for us. We really couldn’t be here without the help of a big team.
This past month the computer communication team helped the aviation team launch a new website. You can see that at: ntm-aviation.org/
The replacement helicopter will be needed soon but has to have some work done on it as well have paperwork issues resolved. Please pray that these things will go well and it will be able to be shipped early in 2017.
Praise the Lord that Heidi and I are making good progress on our projects. Last week, Heidi finished the rough draft of a children’s Bible story book and I finished writing a series of 46 Bible lessons that are a survey of the Old Testament.
Thank you for your prayers!
God bless,
Jonathan & Heidi
