Prayer: A Visit from Friends

May 6, 2022 by Jordan Husband

Greetings from… Ferndale, WA (wow – that is not the typical opening to one of our updates)! Amy and I have a quick update to share, and a request for timely prayer.

Our time in the States has, overall, gone well. We are learning much, working through a variety of health issues (several revealed while here), and – while walking through uncertainty we never expected to face – discovering in new ways the depths of God’s love for His children. His love never fails, and He continually calls us to rest in Him. May that rest be worked out for us all daily in practical experience.

In the first part of next week, our family will be visited by a couple of our field leaders from Mexico. They are among our closest friends there, and flying all the way up here essentially just to see us. Aspects of our conversations will not be easy, but we anticipate a productive time together. We will update them on our status, and discuss what a healthy return to ministry should look like for our family. Our hope is to settle a few questions about the near-term future, and to end with some news to share in coming weeks.

We would greatly appreciate your continued prayer for us, and specifically for our meetings with Pete and Tom. Pray that Amy and I be able to clearly communicate what we have learned these past months, and that the Lord grant us all wisdom and insight into His plan for our next steps.

God will do it and surprise you by joy at the outcome! If you do half as well as you did with me, it will be His words from His faithful servants! Praying as you asked and trusting the words will be God’s own coming out through you two! Have a great visit with your friends and remember that they love you. God loves you and I love you. We all want God’s very best for you and your sweet family as well as for the ones you serve. Loving you dearly, Grammie🥰🙏🙏🙏

Praying for the outcome of your meeting that God will be glorified as conversation reveals the future as His best plan for you and all who will be involved.

Thank you so much, Donna. God really did bless that time… even though we got sick halfway through, He allowed us to do what we really needed to while they were with us!
