With nine weeks of Cherokee study complete, that means there is only one more to go! How has so much time flown by?
This is a very short update (no pictures, sorry!), but I wanted to make sure everyone could be praying specifically this week as we round the final turn and come in for the home stretch! As usual, there is more work to be done than the remaining time will allow… but God is faithful, and I can’t wait to see what He will do during this time!
Praises:
- We’ve made it this far, and are almost done!
- God provided for new tires for our minivan, which we’ve badly needed before coming back to Washington.
- God is ever faithful during times of stress, stretching, and struggle. He is the One who brought us here, and He will accomplish His purposes in us as we finish strong, looking to Him!
Prayer Requests:
- For God to help us keep our eyes on Him during this final week of stateside training! We need Him to be our strength and encourage us when things get rough or difficult… which is not unexpected in ling work.
- That I (Jordan) will be able to complete this task well, and with a level of success that will fully qualify me for linguistics work on the mission field! (This is the whole reason we’re doing this ling course, after all!)
- My ability to focus and keep up a good work pace, even though I’m tired mentally and physically!
My love and prayers are with you. I know it’s hard, but I also know the God who is doing
it through you!! Keep your eyes on Him and He will help you finish not just somehow, but
victoriously. My love and prayers for all of you. I’m sure this is hard on Amy and the children
as well. But God has called all of you and He will do it through you. So sorry about the
computer, but you will overcome through Jesus. I pray for the one who took it! He needs
prayer even more than you do. Loving you and praying too, Grammie/GiGi Psalm 3:3
