As noted in last week’s update, our family will hit the road this summer! Prior plans to visit partners living east of the Rockies were thwarted the last three times we hoped to do this, disappointing us all as health issues in particular made postponement necessary. Yet now, with so much improvement on that front, we have a new opportunity… and our family is very excited to go see all of you who live east of our more frequent stomping grounds.
We will set out from Chihuahua in the last week of May. Everyone’s availability will determine when we arrive at specific places, and how long we can stay – but we plan to spend June on the road, arriving in Washington State at some point in early July. Our itinerary will be built around visits to the Ethnos360 training centers in Missouri and Wisconsin, and we have already penciled in other hoped-for visits around those destinations. Several of these details will come together in March, as we start reaching out to all of you and working through specifics.

In the days and weeks to come, we will start reaching out to friends and family in the Midwest… but why wait?! We would love to hear from anyone who will be around this summer, and is up for spending a little time enjoying face-to-face fellowship with our family. Shoot Amy a note at amy_husband@ntm.org (or reach out and exchange current phone numbers with us, if that works better!), and we’ll start to figure out timing logistics together. Lord willing, we will get our calendars aligned… and enjoy anticipating a chance to encourage one another in person very soon!
While traveling, we hope to see God continue to grow our monthly partnership team. Do you have friends who are have a heart for cross-cultural missions? Is your home church looking for missionaries to support? Would your Bible study or small group enjoy hearing about work among least-reached people groups? Many faithful colaborers have joined our team through other partners’ advocacy, so please reach out if you have ideas along these lines. We count it a privilege to help other believers see God’s heart for those without clear access to His Word, so we will be grateful for your help in connecting with those who are open to learning more about missions work among the indigenous peoples of Mexico.
