As ministry in Mexico occasionally generates larger expenses, we will share them on this page. We do not want those reading our updates to feel swamped in details, so sharing more here provides a breakdown for those who are interested in specific needs.
Thank you for prayerfully considering partnering with us in these areas! If you would like to make a donation, the logistics of doing so are delineated on the Give page.
Visiting Las Moras – projected need: $2,500-4,000

This spring, we hope to encourage the Nahuatl church and missionary team over the course of a few days back in Las Moras. Many people through the years have never returned after having living there, so it will be impactful for the community to see us come visit even though we had to leave. This would be our first time back as a family since 2021.
This trip will require combining a number of transportation methods. We will drive or fly commercially to an intermediate city, potentially using a local bus to reach another intermediate destination, from which a mission plane will carry us in and out of the village. Again, our plans are in early stages… but we estimate that it will cost $2,500-4,000 to get us there and back again.
A New Vehicle – projected need remaining: $9,000-14,000
Designate gifts for ‘Jordan & Amy Husband – vehicle’ and the usual field deductions will not be deducted from your donation.
During a recent trip down from El Paso, our minivan’s transmission finally had enough. God provided that we were able to limp the vehicle back home, but our mechanic says the transmission needs rebuilt – adding that doing so would be a poor investment considering the age of the vehicle, its 250,000 miles of prior use, and other problems it has begun having. We need to buy a replacement as soon as reasonably possible, and are looking most closely at larger SUVs in consideration of our ever-growing kids and summer travel needs.
Our best option will be buying used from a reputable local dealership. Private party sales in Chihuahua have become increasingly problematic, and the imminent demise of our existing vehicle leaves the delay of finding and importing a Stateside a significant (and pricey) obstacle. Local inventory in the $10,000-15,000 range has proven all but non-existent, and everything cheaper has been rather junky – so we anticipate needing to raise an additional $9,000-14,000 to find a replacement in timely fashion.
