Hello! I’m excited to finally be writing our first update, it’s been a busy 2 months since we started with NTM. We moved above my parent’s garage mid September, my dad and Joe have been working hard plumbing, wiring, drywalling & more to get the bathroom and kitchen done. I’m getting used to living out of boxes and suitcases, but it’s hard settling in a place when you hope to be moving out again soon. Spending lots of time with our family has been enjoyable, we had a reunion, 4 birthday parties and many dinners already.
Gathering all the paperwork necessary for our visas has been challenging. Getting updated licenses, SS cards, Passports & Photos in the proper order can be tricky. We found that out after waiting in line for something then learning another paper was needed 1st so we had to wait again after getting it. Now we have to get Anora’s passport photo redone, because it was overdeveloped. We hope to get the rest of our papers together by the end of November so we will be ready to order our visas as soon as we reach 75% of our support level. Praise God we are already at 25%! God has been opening doors and working in ways we couldn’t have planned and we are amazed.
The first 2 weeks of November Joe & I went to Florida for NTM Pre Field Orientation. We had classes on every subject you can imagine from taxes to stress management. We watched reenactments of missionaries being mugged, carjacked and whatnot to learn to be aware of our surroundings. MK’s taught about how to help our kids adjust to moving in and out of cultures (some had been to PQQ and stated how much our kids are going to love it and how great it is there). Mornings were spent praying for the current tribal missionaries. Lunch and dinners were spent chatting with missionaries that have served around the world. Hearing amazing stories of God working in their lives and the people they worked with was really a blessing. We thank God for everything that we learned and we hope to bring Him glory in every opportunity He continues to give us.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
1. Pray that our truck would sell soon.
2. Pray we get all of our paperwork completed successfully.
3. Pray for our health and rest as we are traveling and visiting with others often.
