Greetings,
We hope you are all doing well! We are excited to share what God has been doing in our lives recently. Lately, we’ve had many appointments and it has been going very well. It has been extremely humbling to see how different Gods plans have been from our own, but we are so glad! We’ve lost count as to how many times we have “randomly by chance” (in malls, stores, churches, houses) run into someone we used to know or were introduced to that was excited to hear about what we’ll be doing with New Tribes. Many people have kindly referred us to others too, which has been a huge blessing.
We have been trying to be involved as much as possible with each church we know, building relationships through youth ministry, bible studies, prayer groups, and volleyball. In March we were able to volunteer at a marriage retreat which we enjoyed. In April Joe installed and updated the wiring and sound system at one of our churches and helped another fix some of theirs as well, which was fun for him. At one of the churches Joe will be offering training to run sound and media for those that want to learn. He has also joined (at least one, maybe filling in for others) a church softball team to meet people.
We are thankful to report that our Aunt Darr is recovering very well from her stroke/heart attack, it has been amazing to watch God work through this, thank you for all your prayers. I’m (Gavin too) also beyond happy to say that in 3 weeks we will be done with homeschooling for the summer! We’ve passed around a few colds and whatnot lately, but have been doing surprisingly well with all the running around we’ve been doing. Joe has also been helping out our brother-in-law (you know, in all his free time) installing doors and windows, filling in for a worker he lost. Needless to say we’re looking forward to going to North Carolina to spend time with my parents, my sister’s family and several cousins at the end of May.
Please keep us in your prayers this month as we have a lot scheduled. We’ll be visiting and sharing with a different church every Sunday and we have someone hosting a dinner party that they’ve invited 30+ people for us to share with. Pray that we will be led by God in all we do and say. Pray with us that we will be at the 75% monthly support needed to order our visas by the end of June and that God will provide the amount we need for all of our moving costs to be in Brazil by August. Finally, keep our health, strength, safety and wisdom for all of our family in your prayers. Thank you all so much for everything, we love you guys!
For His Glory,
Joseph & Erin Suttle
