Down to the wire

May 19, 2016 by Josh and Candy Dalton

On Philippine soil with Philippine registration numbers. We’re waiting on two signatures so it can go to work!

The clock is ticking and we’re running out of time on paperwork.

One year ago today, we began disassembling and overhauling this helicopter, preparing it for service in the Philippines. It is exciting and humbling to see what the Lord has done in only one year! Now though, we are down to the wire. There are several missionary families in remote villages who need to fly out to town for a conference in two short weeks, and we’re still waiting on two critical signatures before the helicopter is legal to fly in the Philippines. When we look back and realize that it was only six short weeks ago that this helicopter arrived on Philippine soil in a shipping container, our hearts are filled with gratitude to the Lord for the favor he has given us with every government office, and for the way he has blessed all of the assembly and preparation work on the helicopter itself.

Now though, we are asking you to join us in prayer that our registration certificate will be signed today or tomorrow, and our airworthiness certificate before the end of next week. There is nothing more we can do, and it’s comforting to know that it is entirely and totally in the Lord’s hands.

Chrck out this video from exactly one year ago for a trip down memory lane, and to see where the Lord has brought us!
