I was so nervous!

February 6, 2013 by Josh and Bethany Weeks

There was one day that I had been dreading for some time… the day we would all be getting the shots advised for living in a third-world country.   I was so nervous.  Thankfully, days before this I reached out to several friends who supported me and my family in prayer.  And the day of the Lord supplied me with such an abundance of peace!!

The shots were not bad at all and the girls handled it quite well.  The nurse was overly calm and helpful and gave us plenty of time to work with so as not to feel rushed.  The picture above was a fun room the girls got to hang in while Josh and I filled out paperwork and decided which shots to get.  A total of 8 shots were given (1 for me, 2 for Josh, 2 for Nicole and 3 for Ella).  Josh and I are currently taking the typhoid pills.  We came out with very little side effects (Nicole was sore the first day and Ella had a slight fever the following morning). Praise God.

Please pray for us in these ways:     That we would be resting each day in God’s goodness and find our peace as we prepare for leaving.  That we would be given wisdom in training our girls in understand of how great Jesus is and discipline.
