Brooks (Fellow missionary in another part of the jungle) and our pilot came buy and did an airdrop to get us some decent battery terminals. VERY COOL – I hooked them up and the system and the batteries are working finishing perfectly — so, we are looking good for batteries as of right now. The batteries were generously provided by a Sun. School Class in Florida – my wife is SO thankful for the refrigeration that we can have with the good batteries. An airdrop is where the plane flys really low and slow – then Brooks pitched a bag with the battery terminals packed tight inside. He was generous enough to include some homemade cookies from Nina, his wife. He also tossed in some goodies for the kids from his son Beau. Overall it was cool to see someone from the outside world – even if they never got closer than 100 feet in the air.
