In May 2023 we rejoiced with 110 graduates of Ethnos360 Bible Institute. 96 studied in-person and 14 through the new online degree program. An exit survey listed 40 as planning to immediately continue training with Ethnos360 to serve among Unreached People Groups. Six more had plans to serve under other mission boards.
Over the summer, travel was limited to family needs. Ken moved his parents from Arkansas to North Carolina. Our third child graduated High School, and both the girls needed help with moves.
In August, Andrea stepped back into the “Childcare Coordinator” role she had before the pandemic at the Michigan campus. Here at the consolidated Wisconsin campus, four other staff ladies assist her. We work alongside this year’s interns to ensure mothers of young children can study the Bible for themselves.
Ken’s department spent the summer remodeling student apartments and creating guest housing for visiting speakers. The guys also replaced old decking on staff housing with more durable materials. Now that students are back, he focuses more on off-campus housing, usually mentoring a one-year intern in the process. The Bible college had to increase available staff housing while consolidating campuses. Since most of the homes in the area were built in the early 1900s, so there is always a new “surprise” to fix.
