The Last Leg of the Journey

October 29, 2009 by Lance and Laura Ostman

reading God's WordThe “Precious Cargo” of Higaunon New Testaments arrived safely at our NTM Guest House on Tuesday this week. Later today the shipment will be put on a truck and dear friends of ours will bring the shipment TOMORROW. They plan to leave at 4 AM, (4 PM Thursday EST) and the Lord willing, they should arrive somewhere around noon.

We are asking for your fervent prayers at this time for the safe trip on this “last leg” of the journey to get the Higaunon New Testaments here to our village! We know that Satan does not want the precious Word of God to get into the hands of the Higaunon, so he is liable to try “anything” to keep it from happening. Please pray the truck won’t have any mechanical difficulties. We would also ask that you pray that it won’t RAIN, because that would make it more difficult on the already “rough” road and on the trail for the hiking. It will take two men per box, with the box tied to a pole. There are 31 boxes, each one weighs 108 pounds which equals a LOT of work!

We expect tomorrow to be a BIG day of celebration! But the “Thanksgiving” is being planned for the New Testaments for the 14th of November. We plan to have plenty of photos of these events to share with you all.

Thank you so much for your prayers and partnership in this vital ministry to the Higaunon church!!
