Psalms, Proverbs and Pogong…

Thank you so much for praying for Lance’s work on the Psalms. He’s really been enjoying recording each chapter with Pogong, his translation helper. However, last week and this week he’s had to lay that aside as Pogong is away on a ministry trip.

Pogong has lived with his family in a village for a number of years where He has been teaching God’s Word to about 100 people. Last year he started living here more often then there handing over the responsibility to the people there. As Pogong and his wife phase out of that village, they will visit from time to time to check on the church’s progress. Their heart’s desire is to move to another village that needs the gospel.

Many of you know that Justin, our son in law, is going to be gone for 3 weeks on a ministry trip. Nicole asked if her mom could come home and help out while he’s gone. So, Laura is heading there later this month and we will be apart for close to 4 weeks.

While Pogong is gone, Lance is working on Proverbs, getting ready to check it using a digital recorder. We’re praying that Lance’s work in Psalms and Proverbs will be done before we have to leave the country in June. The Higaunon church is looking forward to having these and other Old Testament books translated in their language. They are very thankful to each of you who prays and gives so we can do what we’re doing.

Things to pray for are…

• Ongoing translation work of Old Testament books

• The continual growth of the Higaunon church here and in the other villages

• Pogong and his family looking for another village to minister in

•  The trips that Justin and Laura will be making and our time away from each other.

Thank you for praying!
