And the angel said unto them, “Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:10,11
Amy Carmichael said, “When you are facing the impossible, you can count on the God of the impossible.”
Thinking about all those years ago when Mary was going through the “impossible” in her life and all the things that passed through her mind – and in the end, what do we learn? We learn that with God, “All things are possible!” We are so grateful to the God of the impossible for the incredible things He has done and is doing in our lives.
The words to this song come to mind:
“Only believe, only believe, all things are possible, only believe…”
It wasn’t that many years ago when Higaunon children were being raised to fear the spirits. Today they are hearing about the Spirit of God who gives LIFE and it was LIFE that the Higaunon people had been searching for. They looked everywhere the spirits told them to look until the true Spirit of God brought LIFE into their midst through the power of God’s Word!
Thank you to each and every one of you who have been a part of seeing the TRUTH spread amongst the Higaunon people. Many are praying and we realize that many who give, give sacrificially.
Thank you all for your partnership in the gospel.
Secure in Christ’s love,
Lance & Laura
PLEASE PRAY!
Last month a young man from our village was in a terrible auto accident out on the coast. He was the only survivor. Two weeks later he suddenly passed away. Please be praying for his dad and mom, Sayig and Hukmay as they grieve. Jonathan was just 19 years old.
Please continue to pray for the Higaunon church, their outreach to surrounding villages and for their safety as they minister from day to day.
Finally, we have both been sick quite a bit the past month. We are spending Christmas in the city where we’re trying to get some rest. We’ve seen the doctor and so far all looks good. We’d appreciate your prayers that our health continues to improve and that it would stay that way!
