Join us in praising the Lord.
We are thrilled to share the latest news from our Higaunon brothers and sisters in Christ. Just last week, we received a message from one of the outreach villages reporting that 26 new believers were baptized! While we usually see pictures of baptisms in rivers, this time the baptism took place in the ocean.
Please keep praying.
Please continue to pray for the translation work. Lance is working on Job 30 this week. Hopefully, he will have the book ready to do the initial checking when we get back to the village in January.
Ron has been working on Ezekiel which is very challenging. And on Hosea which is relatively easy. These books should be ready for us to do the final comprehension check next year.
Travel
Many of you may recall the story of the Burnhams. Last week, we had the pleasure of traveling to our Ethnos360 Training Center in Missouri to attend a surprise gathering to honor Gracia on her retirement. It was a wonderful time with colleagues coming together to give recognition to someone truly deserving. We praise the Lord for how He has used her story to challenge others to go and reach people with the gospel.
We thank the Lord that we have our tickets to Manila! By faith, we have scheduled our flight from Syracuse on January 10. Please pray that the weather will cooperate and that we can endure two long layovers. Normally, we don’t enjoy spending extended hours in airports, but we asked for wisdom, and this route seemed to be the best choice. I’m reminded of a long layover in the past where we met someone we still keep in touch with. So, please pray that God will use us during this journey.
Thank you:
We appreciate your partnership with us in prayer and financial support.
Secure in Christ’s love alone,
Lance & Laura
