I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works. Psalm 9:1 (NKJV)
Please pray:
Since our last update we have been busy:
- Translating the book of Job may not be as challenging as Ezekiel but dealing with poetic language and at times sarcasm, has its own set of challenges.
- We are busy advising students in the Philippines with Global Equip. We have six students who are all doing well. They just started a new course, “Eternity to Eternity”. Please pray that they keep up with their studies.
- Lance is co-facilitating an online Sharpening Your Interpersonal Skills 6-week module entitled Serving Others Through Listening Well. There are nine participants from North America, Africa and Europe. It is wonderful being involved with people from around the world.
Praise:
- We received a message from one of the Higaunon Bible teachers of ten new believers in the village where he teaches. And another message let us know of a village where people are hearing the teaching from God’s Word for the first time. PRAISE THE LORD!
Health:
Our eye doctor says that Lance has cataracts that need to eventually be removed. It’s not an urgent matter and he says that we can wait until we return from the Philippines next year, but Lance would like to get that taken care of sooner rather than later. Getting that scheduled to not interfere with our online classes might be a challenge.
Travel
We received a text recently from our daughter asking if we would be willing to come there for Christmas. Our first thought was, “Of course! Why wouldn’t we?” but then we realized, “Oh! That’s right! It’s winter!”
Be that as it may, we’re pretty sure that we will do this. It just means facing some unknowns like winter weather. Please pray!
Here’s the deal, our granddaughter is scheduled to graduate in June. If we drive to Syracuse for Christmas, leave our car there, and fly out of Syracuse for our annual trip to the Philippines, we won’t have to think about driving from Oklahoma in June to get to her graduation. It just means flying from an airport that experiences heavy snowfall in the wintertime! So, we have begun looking for tickets. Please pray for wisdom in getting this done.
Thank you
Thank you again for your partnership with us in prayer and financial support.
Secure in Christ’s love alone,
Lance & Laura
