Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to you all and greetings in Jesus’ name – that Name above ALL names! What a wonder that He became a man to give us eternal life. We are in awe of His grace!
We are still in New York with our daughter and her family while they prepare to leave for Asia. They have purchased tickets for February 2nd. Thank you for praying for them.
Please continue to pray for the TB outbreak in the village and outreach areas. News from Ron & Michelle is that they are still going full steam working with the TB program. They write that they are “very stretched and challenged” by all that is going on. In one village, “they took over 30 samples and sent 8 people for X-Rays and reported that one man, Gaspar, wept openly in their meeting house because he had given up all hope of surviving. Now he is responding well to the treatment and back on the road to recovery and greatly encouraged in the Lord. He has been a very faithful deacon in the church there and glad to be given the opportunity to continue in that ministry.”
Lance continues to work on Old Testament books and is currently about half way through Joshua. Thank you for praying for him as he perseveres through this. We are planning on making a visit to the village in either February or March. We are looking at dates and haven’t decided which ones would be best. Please pray for us in this. Lord willing, we will be in the country 12 weeks. On our way home from the Philippines, we would like to visit our daughter and family. Please pray for timing and finances involved in all of this.
We are planning on returning to Florida mid-January after our daughter and son-in-law’s commissioning service. In the mean time, we’re enjoying the grand-kids and especially this week as we have Robert & Ean with us. They arrived Sunday night and will leave Christmas day. Please pray that our time together will be a blessing to all. This will be the last time we’re together as a family for quite some time.
Finally, please pray for Northern Mindanao. A very bad storm caused a lot of damage to two of the main cities. There are many dead and missing with thousands displaced. Please pray that this will be a time when the church is active in reaching out to those in need and that many will come to know Christ.
Thank you for your partnership in the gospel.

Secure in Christ,
