Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
Looking back: When we were looking forward to 2018, the Lord put a word on our hearts that by faith would characterize His work in and through us – that word was JOY. Indeed it was a joyous year. God allowed us to accomplish much this past year. He allowed us to do the initial checking of First and Second Chronicles – gave us a wonderful time in attending our biennial conference – allowed us to meet our new grandson and spend time with our daughter, her husband and the other three kids – gave us a wonderful road trip in October – witnessed Robert and Rhoda’s wedding and finally, we’ve had some good visits with our grandson Ean. Those are just some of the highlights. We give glory to our Lord for all HE has done!
Looking forward: As we look forward to 2019, we’re trusting Him to allow us to accomplish much in regards to both travel and translation. Once again there is a word that God seems to have put on our hearts – HOPE – and this isn’t like, “I really hope we can do____”. Maybe a better word is anticipation. We’re looking forward in anticipation to all God has for us to do.
Thank you: We praise God for each of you who partner with us. Please pray for us as we have less than three weeks until our departure for the Philippines! There is much to do as we prepare. Thank you for standing with us in prayer and financial support. God bless you in 2019! None of us know what this year holds, but we know the ONE Who knows every detail of it for each one of us. Knowing that God is in control and having the assurance of His love and care for us gives us HOPE.
Looking forward with you to 2019 – Lance and Laura
PS – and who knows… maybe Christ will return this year!
