40 days and 3300 miles

July 29, 2022 by Lance and Laura Ostman

We miss our jungle home!

From the rising of the sun to its setting,
the name of the LORD is to be praised! Psalms 113:3

Back home:

Praise the Lord with us that we are back in our Oklahoma home. It is so good to be home after 40 days and more than 3,300 miles.

Our time away was wonderful. The weather in Western New York was such a blessing, as were the visits with family, friends, and ministry partners. God worked in amazing ways to bring us two new partnering churches in Indiana.

Family time:

One of the highlights of our trip was a surprise 50th-anniversary celebration for Lance’s brother, David, and sister-in-law, Grace. Lance’s siblings and spouses were all together for the first time in 20 years.

Ark Encounter/Creation Museum:

Another highlight was a visit to The Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. If you haven’t yet visited, we highly recommend you do.

Thank you:

Thanks to each one who has prayed faithfully for us as we traveled. Lance continued to work on the translation for the Higaunon Old Testament, even in the car while I drove.
He is nearing the end of his rough draft of the book of Ecclesiastes.

Other News:

Lance has also been busy helping facilitate the online SYIS course, “Serving Others Through Listening Well”.

Finally, about the above picture, we are making tentative plans to return to the Philippines early next year. It’s been two full years since our return, and we’ve missed being there so much. Please pray for all the details to be worked out.

Thank you for being part of our lives and ministry, for your prayers and your financial partnership.

Secure in Christ alone,

Lance & Laura
