Greetings again from Indonesia. It appears we have yet to experience a full season of RAIN. Yes, there is a reason it is so green here! It is truly refreshing and seems to clear the air, not to mention the overcast cooling things down a bit.
Today, after language school, I (Lawrence) will be taking a ‘night bus’ to Jakarta and be returning the beginning of next week. I will be attending a early Christmas dinner held for our sponsoring board that does an incredible amount of work and paperwork for us to be here. We are thankful for the group of men that work so diligently on every last jot-and-tiddle of required goverment paperwork!
But, my trip has other motives. Our crate from America should have arrived a few days ago and we are asking the Lord to have it cleared by customs so I can get to it on Tuesday the 9th before returning. The crate primarily has my tools and will be forwarded to the island of Borneo as soon as it clears customs. But, inside it are also our family games and Christmas decorations. We know its a long-shot, but we are praying for God’s perfect timing on the "crate-intercept!"
Of course, my last motive is to pick-up some goodies for Christmas and Jodie’s birthday (which is also on Christmas day). This is our first Thanksgiving and Christmas overseas. Our Thanksgiving day was good, we even found a turkey and had pumpkin pie!
Because of being so busy with language school, travel, Sarah and Seth’s school and events associated with each, we are feeling the stress of the next 2 weeks. Please pray we will continue to have the strength and continue in God’s love. Honestly, we tend to get grumpy when there is so much going on and none of us want to be this way.
Lastly, last night Sarah started feeling achy and now has a fever. She would appreciate your prayers.
