Well, our time here is up. We came here to get some linguistic training that will help us and others to better understand and communicate in a tribal language. That has been mostly accomplished, apart from the ten weeks we will work with the Cherokee language this fall. It’s a good feeling to have done what we came to do.
We do have three more days of class, but on Friday I turned in my last homework assignment. We’ll probably leave this Friday or Saturday. We have to clean up our apartment so that it can be used over the summer, so Alisha will be working hard on that and packing this week. We need to change the oil on the car, and we should be ready to go when all that is done.
This summer, we will be spending time in both Usk and Starbuck, helping with DVBS, etc. We also are looking forward to going to a reunion for the Ranch where my parents worked for 16 years. We hope to speak at a few churches and talk about our future ministry as well. This summer will begin the transition from training to raising support. I have to admit that we are a bit scared of raising support, but we know that God is certainly able to provide for us. Hopefully, we will see many of you this summer. Thank you for your prayers during our time here in Missouri. Our journey is just beginning.
Praise:
-A productive and fruitful time in classes ministry here this semester
-The chance to walk with God in different circumstances
-Friends we’ve made
Prayer:
-Our trip across the country at the end of this week
-Beginning to raise support
-To continue to walk with God in this transitioning time
-For our kids as things change
Thank you again very much!
