Well, this year has gone a lot different than I would have thought last September. Coming back to the States, losing Alisha’s dad, Davis being born seven weeks early… God has His own way of doing things. But now, we are ready to return to the field (as ready as we can be nine days before we leave).
We bought our tickets the last weekend in August, then got our visas in the mail last Monday. Now we are busy trying to buy all the things we realized we should have brought last time we were in Asia Pacific. We have also been visiting family members one last time. We spent this weekend in Yakima and Starbuck and head home today. Elroy’s birthday is tomorrow (he’ll be 9). It seems like we are always busy with a move on his birthday.
The kids are excited to leave because they can watch movies on the flights. Whether they realize it or not, this will be a big change/transition for them. It’s the same country, but a different island we’re going to. Alisha has spent a lot of time recently trying to figure out which homeschool curriculum to use and where to get it. We ordered all that stuff last week, so it should be here in time.
Praise:
- Passport/Visa stuff all got done without any issues
- We found tickets that were cheaper than last time
- Davis is healthy
Prayer
- Buying and packing everything we need
- Flights to go well
- Transition back to AP (getting re-acclimated to weather, culture, language)
- Buying furniture, appliances, etc. for our new house
Thank you and goodbye to everyone we got to visit this time or who helped us with things here.
