Meet Komite and Berta – not their real names. They often use other names due to the fact that it is against their culture to call them on the first names.
Komite is a wonderful guy who often helps me with language. He has been a believer for a while now. We think he became a Christian when the missionaries taught here for the first time. Berta, his wife, is not clear on the truth yet and needs some more teaching. She is better educated than most people here in our village and have attended school up to grade 10. Komite also attended school to grade 7. They have a one year old son called Damien.
Pray for Berta that she will clearly understand the Gospel presentation and make a decision for Christ. She is still holding on to ancestral beliefs and is receiving allot of pressure from her family to return to her old ways.
Pray for Komite who is a young believer but who also shows leadership skills. We believe that if he continues to humble Himself God may use him mightily, not only in our village but also surrounding villages where he has some inroads!
