The Next Generation

April 12, 2011 by Macon and Katy Hare

image001[1]Enoch was no different than many Piapoco teens, drinking and disrespectful, but all that changed the week his mother took him to visit missionaries Wayne and Patsy Gibson.   God did a work in Enoch’s heart right there in Wayne and Patsy’s home, and he accepted Christ as his Savior. When Enoch returned to his tribal village, people began to notice a marked change in him. On his next visit with the missionaries, Enoch received more teaching and showed obvious evidence that his faith in Christ was real.

While visiting Enoch’s village a few months later, Wayne encouraged him again to pursue the sincere knowledge of God’s Word. Now, Pablo, an older Piapoco Bible teacher is discipling Enoch 3 times a week.  Pray this young man will be strengthened and mature in his walk with the Lord. Pray that Enoch, and others like him, might become the next generation of leaders for the Piapoco Church.
