The Translation Team

April 12, 2011 by Macon and Katy Hare

COL_Piapoco_348-595x300This is a first! The Piapoco New Testament is being Revised, not by foreign missionaries, but by three godly Piapoco Bible teachers.  Reinaldo, Walter and Silvio are now working in the book of Mark. Pray for wisdom and discernment as they put in long hours going over each verse.  Pray for Wayne Gibson as he checks their work, sent to him  via e-mail.

Another first, this summer Reinaldo, Walter and Silvio will be attending a translation seminar in Guatemala. Pray that they might receive their passports and visas without problems.

God is raising up the next generation of Bible translators and they are tribal believers! They have the tools, they have the knowledge, and they have the passion to see that God’s Word speak to the hearts of their people.

Are you as excited as I am?
