GRAND OPENING FOR MISSIONARY TRAINING CENTER
Friday, August 11, 2006
Months of planning, preparation and construction have led to a big event Monday, Aug. 14, at the new Missionary Training Center near Camdenton, Missouri – the grand opening celebration.
More than 500 people are expected to attend the opening ceremonies for the new Missionary Training Center. Local and regional civic and business leaders will join NTM leaders, local pastors, donors, guests and training center staff and students for the celebration.
The festivities will include a brunch for invited guests, a ribbon cutting ceremony, tours of the facility, and a catered, afternoon barbecue for staff, students and guests.
Formerly the NTM Language Institute, the new and expanded center features an integrated program of training that includes both the language institute curriculum and the former mission institute’s training program which was located in three areas of the USA.
New student orientation and the first semester of classes for 140 students – a 40 percent increase in enrollment – and more than 100 staff start Tuesday.
Enrollment is projected to continue to grow, reaching 250 or more students in the next 10 years. Continued development of housing, education and administrative facilities will be necessary to accommodate the projected growth.
Please keep the students and staff in your prayers, as they work together so more missionaries can be equipped to expand the reach of the Gospel.
Please continue to pray that the training center expansion will continue so even more tribes will be able to know Jesus.
