Check us out

June 10, 2022 by Mike and Lauren Shaiebly

In April Mike checked out of Tok Pisin language learning! And this month I also checked out!

Thank you Jesus!

Through this process we have become such dear friends with our language teachers.

What’s next

Now that we have reached the language level expected of church planters we are looking into building a team of three families to move into a people group. We have one family we are actively chatting with who have returned to the states to welcome a new family member(yay for more babies!). While they are out of PNG we have jumped into helping our missions support center.

Our support center in the Eastern region of PNG supports the tribal churches and church planters with food and supplies, maintenance and building, and resources. As well as a place to stay when they need to come out to town for a break, or/and medical things.

Mike has took on the role of Center Operations Manager. He manages the workers on center as they maintain buildings, and fix things. As well as helping with some tribal builds off center.

I’m looking after the mission centers guesthouses with my coworkers below. We have a blast together and pamper our missionaries and pilots who come to this part of the region.

We are also actively doing life with the Nakanai people. Our Support center is inside their people group. I enjoy being apart of the woman’s bible study and our family attends church with them every other Sunday.
