Paska and Robin, our Tigak Bible teachers, have been faithfully teaching two lessons every Sunday for many months. They are teaching from Creation through Christ. This Sunday will be the very last lesson where the Gospel will be clearly presented and all the Old Testament stories and prophecies will come together to show how Christ is the “man of saving” (our Savior).
Each Wednesday we meet with the ladies and review the lessons from the previous Sunday. The ladies are such an encouragement! They read the Scripture together and ask questions and are so thankful that they are finally understanding God’s Word. Several of them have shared how their whole life they have heard stories and have gone to “church” but they had no idea what God’s Word was all about. Now that they are hearing God’s Word taught chronologically with all the pieces being put together – their understanding has grown greatly!!
Please pray with us that all those who have been attending will be there Sunday and will clearly understand God’s good news and accept Christ as their Savior. This is the first time the Tigak have taught through these lessons completely on their own. We would love to see them start another set of lessons soon with more new Tigak people. God is building His church here among the Tigak. Thank you for making it possible for us to be a part of this!
Ned is making great progress on 2 Corinthians. He is trying to get as much done as he can before he starts preparing for translation checks for the Mengen tribe and the Maleu tribe.
