Happy New Year!! Thank you for praying as we went through a very busy week. I have never been more thankful for good friends. We certainly could not have had two weddings in two days without lots of help. Both weddings went amazingly well. It is hard to believe we have two girls who are now married.
We would appreciate your prayers again over the next few days as we attempt to pack up and clean the house we are living in! (And we are all battling colds/coughs.) We fly back to Papua New Guinea on Jan. 14th. We are not sure how it is going to happen but we will get on the plane. ☺
We are looking forward to getting back to our ministry among the Tigak people. We are not looking forward to the good-byes. We already said good-bye to Bethany and Isaac as they headed back to Liberty University yesterday to continue taking classes.
Savannah was very successful in her first semester at Texas A&M. She is looking forward to continuing on. The Lord has worked an amazing miracle and as of yesterday – Josiah will be attending Dallas Baptist University in the spring. He really wanted to, but we did not see any way it was possible. He has spent hours and hours working on financial aid and scholarships and it is actually all falling into place. I am just sitting back in amazement to see how the Lord has provided once again. Why do we ever doubt the Lord’s faithful provision?
I have been doing a lot of crying this past week and I am sure there will be more tears in the week to come but I am resting in the Lord’s faithfulness and goodness. He has confirmed over and over that we are where He wants us and He is going to provide for our family and give us the strength to say “good-bye” once again.
Thank you for standing with us and the Tigak people.
