March 2021 Update

March 6, 2021 by Paul and Andrea Wilson

We thank the Lord for your prayers and support.  We once again come to you with several praises and some new prayer requests.

Praise:  Paul was able to FINALLY take his Robinson helicopter class on the airframe in CA.  He got back Thursday night and boy did we miss him.  Having completed the engine course (see pic) the week prior means he is all cleared to head back to Papua New Guinea (PNG).  Pray for us as we continue to work towards that.  Flights are few and far between.

While Paul was gone we got word that a very good friend, Kathy Purves, passed away from cancer.  (Many of you know and love our Aunt Kathy).  We will be leaving in a couple of days to fly to Maryland (with negative COVID tests we pray!) to be with our friends and family as we celebrate her godly life and mourn our loss (really it’s a “see-you-later”).  While this is very hard we praise God that He gave us such a good friend.  We will then fly back here to Arizona and continue to prepare to head back to PNG.  Thanks for praying for us as we grieve our dear friend and also as we travel in these current times.

Another (continued) prayer request is for Paul’s mom, Lavon.  She is still dealing with hip pain due to a crack disc in her back and finds it very hard to get around.  A big praise is that Paul’s brother has recently been able to arrive and stay with them to help out.

Thanks so much for your prayers and support!
