Transitions in New Tribes: NTM U. S. Main Office here is Sanford will be moving our offices to a new location over the next few years – a six story office building in downtown Sanford, which was given to the mission. Although the new building is right down the road from our present location, the move will mean many Transitions and changes for the staff members who live here at our mission facilities. The move will not happen right away, however, many of the families are already looking for housing in the area. Pray for guidance and the Lord’s provision and for grace as many of them experience the joys and responsibilities of owning a home for the first time.
Our volunteers have all gone north- its warm enough where they live and getting too hot to stay down here. We are grateful for all the hard work they put in for us this year. One of the projects they helped us start was the renovation of the new towers building. We couldn’t do much on it as we are still waiting for architectural drawings so we can apply for permits to start the remodel. There is some hope that we can have one floor ready to move into by the end of the year. Please pray for approved plans and permits so this work can begin.
Phil worked over at the NTM retirement center again. This time it was to do a counter top for a missionary lady soon to retire from Papua New Guinea. She has lived and worked over there for many years now, translating the Bible into the Siawi tribal language. She was going to come sooner, but is committed to finishing the translation before she returns stateside, so she won’t be here until next month. She will have a nice remodeled duplex to move into now. It was a pleasure to have a small part in fixing it up for this devoted servant of God.
More Transitions at church and school : Awana club at our church ended this past week. We attended the awards ceremony and it was exciting to see the kids rewarded for their hard work of memorizing God’s Word throughout the year. We have worked with the children in book time and also have been in charge of doing a missions presentation once a month. Also, our school year is winding down. Because of changes at the mission school neither of us will be teaching next year.
