Tribal Update: Siar of Papua New Guinea Celebrate Christmas

December 30, 2012 by Phil and Jackie

For the first time last year, several Siar believers of New Guinea realized the significance of our Lord’s birthday so they had a reason to celebrate His birth! They praised God and worshiped Him because He is now their Savior. Several believers decided to celebrate the occasion with a special meal, followed by a time of testimony. They shared about Christ and what He came to do for them. After dinner several Siar believers got together and wrote a worship song. Then, as part of their celebration, they sang praises to God. That sounds like a great way to celebrate Christmas, doesn’t it?!
