How many of you know what that PNG stands for?? Of course … Papua New Guinea. Many of you have asked about or have been keeping track of the Adventures of Cody and Beka as they prepared for the mission field. You may remember that their first attempt at leaving January 17th was cancelled the day before their flight due to Cody having a positive Covid test! 🙁 They quarantined and then rescheduled their flights for February. The tricky part was that the only way to get into PNG was on a Humanitarian flight from Malaysia and they found out the last flight would be in February! They were cutting it close but God was in control.
We took them to the airport on February 21 and they flew east toward the small island nation on the other side of the world. Imagine a 60-70 hour trip with a 2 year old on a plane and going through airports!! Then image yourself in their place! 😊 God gave them grace and they made it there in one piece, although very tired! We have done some video calls and texting with them. (Very different than when we went to Bolivia over 36 years ago!). It is so nice to be able to stay in touch with them and still feel like we are part of their lives. We’ll add a few pictures just because we know you are dying to see them!! Ha Ha!
Please continue to pray for their health, patience, joy and spiritual growth as they begin the adventure of language and culture study. Pray that God will use them in a mighty way in PNG!
