Winter is closing upon us. This week we will actually have two mornings with a low temperature in the high forties. We have been looking forward to cooler dryer days for many weeks now. This, too, is a reminder that it is getting co
lder up north and that snowbirds will soon be driving their RVs south to escape the frigid temperatures. We are looking forward to having a number of them stopping by Sanford to help us out for a few months.
As the mission looks forward to moving to the new building, we are planning on remodeling some of the offices that won’t be sold, into apartments for staff families. I (Phil) have already planed lots of ash and hickory for making cabinets for the new kitchens. It is always fun to work with our volunteers.
As for the towers building, we are still waiting for architectural drawings so we can get permits and begin to remodel each floor into usable space for each mission department. We hope to have a demolition permit this week to take out some of the building’s interior features that we won’t need. Please pray that we can get the necessary drawings and permits so that so that we can begin the remodel and soon have some of our departments moved into their new space.
