MEGAVOICE PLAYERS ARRIVE!

March 23, 2011 by Phil and Elin Henderson

They’re here! We have been waiting for our first installment of 20 Megavoice players and their control unit to arrive, and they finally made it. This morning my main translation helper and I put them out in the sun to start getting their first charge (see picture). This feature of being able to charge the unit with a built in solar panel is one of the main advantages of this unit. Other advantages include an easy user interface and the ability to protect the content from being tampered with. I have been installing the control program and figuring out how to take our content and put it onto the players. We hope to have them in use by this weekend. This will more than double our number of units that can be distributed in the village. The ability to recharged in the sun will keep the new units in use for more hours of the day than the previous units. A big thanks to Center Point Church of Lexington KY for making this purchase possible and Chad Vanden Bosch from ASM for facilitating the purchasing and shipping. We are thankful that others have given towards the project in recent weeks so we will be making more purchases in the near future.

Praise the Lord with us that the units arrived and please pray that these units will “expand the reach” of the good news.
