As some of you who receive our monthly(ish) email newsletter already know, I (Phil) have taken on coaching a local soccer team. Please pray for a miracle, namely that they will be able to learn some basic soccer skills from someone who doesn’t possess them himself. At the very least we are trying to move beyond the predominant technique known worldwide as “boot the ball as hard as you can and then chase it for all your worth”. Our first weekly practice was held early this morning and seemed (from my perspective) to go very well.
Pray that the Lord will use this as an opportunity to build relationships with the players.
